Microsoft FrontPage (later full name Microsoft Office FrontPage) was a WYSIWYG HTML editor and web site administration tool from Microsoft for the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems. It was part of Microsoft Office application suite from 1997 to 2003. Microsoft FrontPage has since been replaced by Microsoft Expression Web, which was released in December 2006.

What Happended to FrontPage?

After nine years of being an award-winning Web authoring tool, FrontPage was discontinued in late 2006. Microsoft continued to serve the diverse needs of our existing FrontPage customers with the introduction of a new application building and Web authoring tool using the latest technologies: Expression Web for the professional Web designer.
